A higher level teaching assistant (HLTA) does all the things that regular teaching assistants do, but the biggest difference is the increased level of responsibility within the classroom.

Course Entry Requirements

This course is regulated by the government examinations department called OFQUAL.

OFQUAL’s entry requirements for this course are:

– Be aged 16 Years or above

-Be working or volunteering in a school for a minimum of 50+hours over 12 months
– Possess knowledge of the English language

OFQUAL do not require you to have any GCSE or A-Level qualifications for this course

You must have a school placement to complete this course.
